Visa Rejected - Please help

I am basically an Indian holding a valid Indian Passport. I applied for a job in Qatar for a company and got selected. When the employer applied for my visa, my visa got rejected stating that "I had already been to Qatar and I didn't properly exit Qatar, so because of that I am banned". But I have never entered Qatar in my life time. I have the proof with me: there is no Qatar visa stamped on my passport. Even the current employer showed all my pages of passport to the Qatar embassy, but still they are not ready to give the visa. The current employer are now asking me to get a clearance certificate from the Indian embassy in Qatar. But they say that they can't do anything in this matter. Please let me know how to proceed on this.

I have never attended any interview for a Qatar based company before.

Is there any other way to resolve this.

This is applicable irrespective of you entered Qatar or not.

Yes it is true. A Previous Company has obtained a Visa for you and Cancelled it due to whatever the reason. So you are Banned for 2 years technically.

Maybe you got a Job Offer before from another company, they made your visa and after that you withdrew, without entering in Qatar?
