Visa Requirements - Filipino working in Doha
Hi All,
Do need some clarification on processing my residents visa. I am currently working in Oman, got an offer to work on a reputable company in Qatar.
They asked me to get my diplomas and NBI to be authenticated in DFA then later on to be attested on the Qatar Embassy in the Philippines.
Now my question is, i will be flying directly from Muscat to Doha on November 16 (as i think will be under a temporary visa???), would it be a problem if my papers are still on process in the Philippines?
My papers will just be out from DFA on November 13, then to be attested by Qatar Embassy (i think it will take a week again), and then sent to Doha via DHL (approximately 2 to 3 days).
Will all my papers be required for processing my Visa, or could it be just handed later on? A bit new on this things, and would really appreciate your help.
well i do exagerate things... quite new on this stuff that sometimes i over think on the consequences. Will it be possible just to get attestation from Qatar itself?
you just worry too much. actually there's no problem here. you just need to wait for your papers to be released. submit what they require and leave everything else to the company. that's all!
thank you for that, felt a little unease thinking if this will be a hindrance for processing papers.
it is true that it takes a while processing working visas?
don't worry, as you said your flying on nov 16, its mean you have a entry visa, probably company visit visa. when your got your paper here, you need to authenticate also in Philippine Embassy and Qatar.
no problem for sure it will take time for your visa to process(medical and finger printing). Also those docs will be submitted with your official working contract to the labor ministry.
