I'm returning briefly to Qatar tomorrow for the first time since I lived there from 2006 to 2009, to show my son where he was born and revisit some old haunts.
So I was wondering; what's new and improved in Qatar since 2009 that I should go and visit during my 3 day stay?
Mmmm... Qatar Living has certainly changed from when I used to live here.
Anyway, during my short time here over the last few days I've seen lots of things that have changed since 2009, and I'm glad to say the vast majority of them are positive changes.
It's been a pleasure being back here. Thank you Qatar.
Accha & Mufti, I bow to you dear. Your appreciation is all I need to live on. I can survive without oxygen but not without the humor. That's the truth, my pals.
People are more open heart now, we smile more than ever before. Mother in laws are here in many cases on visit. Most people are under loans. We are happier than anybody on this planet.
Just a few new malls have come up. There are some additional places where you could get to enjoy your meals. Wakrah has developed into a major residential area. The bustling market that once existed in Musheirab has been demolished to pave way for the new metro railway station. I guess the rest remains the same.
Qatar's winter months are brimming with unmissable experiences, from the AFC Asian Cup 2023 to the World Aquatics Championships Doha 2024 and a variety of outdoor adventures and cultural delights.
Fasten your seatbelts and get ready for a sweet escape into the world of budget-friendly Mango Sticky Rice that's sure to satisfy both your cravings and your budget!

Couldnt stop laughing after reading the comments of MM.
DO read the comments on an hourly basis everyday of one Molten Metal who has been posting at QL for the past six years.
They will make your day!
