Who is Eligible to get on arrival visa ?

My Visa got stamped this week.Can I get on arrival visa to UAE. Is there any procedure like I need to stay here for 6 month before going to UAE (mean, will get visa only after 6 month) or can I go tomarow and get the visa.Please clarify me on this.

Other than the 33 countries...you can get visa on arrival if you are a resident of GCC for more than 1 year ( may be 6 months....not very sure). The designation in your RP should be Manager. Asst. Engineer may not work. I guess your friend got stopped for that
