Give to the poor for Christmas

Good Day All,
Every Christmas my family gives to the poor, be it food baskets, clothes or anything worth using. This year my hubby & I will be here for Christmas, we dont want to upset townfolk we just want to give. At the same time we dont want to offend. Just want to know if this is appropriate, we dont want to break the tradition of goodwill.
good deeds during your Christmas, maybe you can contact Speed and join a charitable or volunteering works which is as satisfying as giving gift on christmas.

No way! My money is going on pressies and an excess on food and drink!

It always seems impossible until it's done.
