Qatar International Food Festival becomes popular
The Qatar International Food Festival continued to attract huge number of people on its third day as thousands of visitors turned up at the food festival to sample different type of food, exciting dining options and family entertainment at the Museum of Islamic Art Park.
The festival, which ends today, has something for everyone - amazing music and light shows, 11 general zones, the International Zone, the Healthy & Active Zone, the Snack Zone, the Family Zone and the Qatar Brazil Zone and the live cooking zone, as well as 55 food stalls and international entertainment acts on several stages.
Organised by Qatar Airways and Qatar Tourism Authority, this year’s festival is on track to break last year’s record-breaking 73,000 visitor event as a great range of food and entertainment options attracted visitors from all over Qatar and beyond.
For thrill-seekers, the Dinner in the Sky, sponsored by the Renaissance Hotel, has proved to be hugely popular this year again with diners being able to enjoy a three-course meal 40 metres above the ground.
And for those who love the sea, Dinner on a Dhow sponsored by Souq Waqif Boutique Hotels offers the best of Qatari hospitality as guests can enjoy a sumptuous selection of dishes prepared in an authentic Arabic manner on an elegant dhow.
BBQ lovers, meanwhile, can relax and dine on the BBQ Donut, sponsored by the Diplomatic Club, where guests can enjoy their meal while gently floating on the water, while amateur chefs have the chance to put their grilling skills to the test at the Oryx Rotana BBQ Live Cooking Competition which takes place each day between 5 and 7pm.
There are also ample opportunities to learn more about the art of cooking at the Qatar Airways Cooking Theatre, located in the Live Cooking Zone, where celebrity TV chef Ramzi Choueiri and Chef Aysha Al Tamimi showcase their amazing culinary skills.
