I take a lot of pride in NOT having a FaceBook account, but I will create one later tonight for us. I'm in Solvang California now...Its a little Dutch town settled by some people from Holland before Christ was born. It's a delightful little town and I'm very interested in the Dutch culture so I'm immersing myself in it as much as possible today. I've been drinking Heinekens and had Mussel Soup and Poached Fish for lunch...Yummy

Yeah we definitely made a connection Mandi. There's no doubt about it, but I feel I must warn you before you get your hopes up. My heart belongs to another, I mean this woman owns my heart, she owns it. It's hers to do whatever she wants with it. She can rip it out and throw it against the wall if she wants, she can put it on the ground and run over it with her car, she can put a hook through it and use it as fish bait. It's hers whether she wants it or not and I cannot imagine anyone stealing it away from her. I don't know for sure..I think he's in a four engine Airbus, I thought he said he mostly flys to London ..I just saw him in Vegas a few weeks ago and the subject never came up...He actually got laid off at Emirates and was flying for some outfit called Bahrain Air or something like that until he got recalled to Sri Lanka..

I guess you know American is going belly up right now- good thing you got out, they'll probably lose their pensions too- If you're already getting one you won't though.. While my brother was building flight time he was a flight attendant for American, based in Chicago..1979? I know he was working for them when that DC-10 went down in Chicago..

My dad flew the Mustang in the South Pacific! Yeah, my second career was with American Airlines and I got my PPL during those years. God, I remember pix of those planes at Colombo. What equipment's your brother on? I know a lot of the 777 guys at QR.

I fly- My father was career Air Force and retired as a 777 captain for United and my brother who I taught to fly flew for Sri Lankan Airlines until the Tamil Tigers burnt all their planes up on the tarmac, so then he flew for Emirates until he was recalled to Sri Lanka..He's back there now..In Colombo

I used to. Since there's no general aviation in the Gulf I've not been up for some years. I did work for the airlines in the US but in the back, not up front! Well, maybe a little stick time on a 757!

I have an emergency back up generator, but believe it or not we rarely lose power, everything is over-built up here. I get 100 mph winds sometimes..

Don't go out shoveling by yourself Mandi- What if you get hurt?

Hah, last time I needed a front-loader to get out to the road! Yeah, I got a stack of firewood, water, deer meat in the fridge and a couple flashlights. With the trees in full leaf and the temp above 32 I'm pretty sure I'll lose electric. If you don't hear from me in a few days, send a St Bernard!

Mandi, do like I do and just wait until it melts..I live at 9500 feet above sea level and when it snows everyone starts shoveling and plowing like crazy-

You know what I do? Basically nothing, I put another log on the fire, order some pay per view movies, and cook a (USDA Certified PRIME Black Angus, almost Wygu quality) prime rib or something. One time it took five days before anyone could leave the house. My neighbor tried to plow my drive that time and I called him and told him to stop and turn around- I needed the excuse to get out of work..

That was a great week

Awwww right! Jeeze, Sedona is an expensive place. My husband is down on Carmen Island, Sea of Cortez, tonight, desert sheep hunting. I'M looking forward (not) to snow shoveling. And I was gonna head down to Miami tomorrow for the day to see some old airline buddies.
