There is a huge cultural mosaic of people in Canada (and the US), probably more so in Canada. So what do you mean by "real". Someone who was born there? In BC and Ontario(Canadian provinces) about one quarter of the population is foreign born. That makes it a bit hard to stereotype Canadians. I do miss the polite civil behavior in public places, also Tim Hortons....

Hey...I'm an old, fat white guy and all I've done at Garvey's is have a few drinks...what am I missing...? Damn...I knew I should have read the memos...

OK, I'll let the Canadians and Americans off, theyre OK apart from the baseball capped checky shirters.

Well, I don't suppose the English have been famous for good looks, they are famous for swilling beer and acting like tossers. But then the Germans are not known for good looks either, unless I missed something, and, we were not the one's that took David Hasslehoff's singing career seriously, I mean how could you! I suppose his style fitted in with the tight jeans, cowboy boots and curly purms, and the thick blond mustache, well even The Hoff rejected that!

You know what these fella's do in Garveys is also done by ageing women in the Caribean, parts of Africa and especially Turkey, so it's not just a man thing. It's having your cake and eating it all over again I suppose.

Privet.

I like Canadians - I like Maple Syrup, sugar of the gods.

I like Americans - I like burgers, food of the king (Elvis).

As for Rednecks - I like a nice tune on a Banjo.

No there are a couple of young British guys that are only starting to get fat.

If you want to see european rednecks, just go to Garvey's.

Do europeans have a name for all these fat drunks?

I was a redneck but I sold my gun and my membership got revoked. Country dancing is great. With rock/disco/techno, you never know who your dancing with. When you country dance, even if you've just met, you already have your mitts on the girl.

All in all, a much better system.

You find Canadians fake??? I mean, I can see that from a select group of the upper class, but not Canadians in general. I suppose it depends on who you are meeting, are they from Ontario? Especially Toronto?

It may be ignorance on my part of course, and those whom I've met have been very polite nice people, but seem so false, it's probably just a difference of culture.

I've found it difficult working under American systems where there is acronyms for everything and ridiculous names for common sense duties. A facilitator talked for 4 hours on a course I once attended and I could have summed it up in one sentence. I'm sure English annoy the hell out of you people in many ways too, I'm one of them!

Canadian women are also usually fat, but we often wear hockey jerseys and boots.

I can vouch for Americans. Among the nicest and friendliest people I've ever met. Except in the Middle East where they're under instructions to be on guard and wary. Then they become cagey and reserved which is completely against their nature.

I can't speak for Americans but I can tell you that you can't trust Canadians, or Kanucks as they are known in nefarious circles. Don't ever believe a single thing any one of them says...ever. They lie...every word is a lie...it's not our fault...it has something to do with the clean air and propensity for bashing seals. We're in a nation wide 12 step program. Wish us luck.
