How can the human race survive the next hundred years ?
People will survive the next 100 years. The real question is, will our civilization stay intact for that long, given the problems you've mentioned? ( revolution of mankind )
I think the only way we can be certain that it will is by re-examining some of our most basic assumptions about politics, economics, religion, science, and each other. It's those assumptions that have lead us into this situation.
Those assumptions have created social institutions that are built around worst-case scenarios, and, not surprisingly, they often produce worse-case situations. We need systems that allow us to be our best, instead of systems that force us to do our worst.
Of the 40,168 species that the 10,000 scientists in the IUCN assessed, one in four mammals, one in eight birds, one in three amphibians, one in three conifers, and other gymnosperms are at risk of extinction. The peril faced by other classes of organisms is less thoroughly analyzed, but fully 40 percent of the examined species of planet earth are in danger, including perhaps 51 percent of reptiles, 52 percent of insects, and 73 percent of flowering plants.
Extinction of marine wildlife is considered to be even more severe with only 4% of the Northern cod remaining and sharks being removed from the sea at a rate of one hundred million a year.
By the most conservative measure – based on the last century's recorded extinctions – the current rate of extinction is 100 times the background rate. Harvard conservation biologist Edward O. Wilson estimates that the true rate is more like 1,000 to 10,000 times the background rate. We are losing about 200 species a day and remember that the norm is one species per year.
Wilson predicts that our present course will lead to the extinction of half of all plant and animal species by 2100.
The trends are all around us and in the process of rapid escalation. Of course, it is easy to dismiss this and go about our business which is the ignorance-is-bliss-school of thought.
I suspect the same way we've survived the last 100 years. Wars will be fought. After enough has died, some peace treaty would be signed. Only to fight in other wars later on. Different civilizations will rise and fall, replacing others and be replaced. The old will die. The young will grow. There will be actions taken and consequences levied. Still the species will go on.
If you believe that we are an adaptable species, like you said, and has been able to adapted hundreds of years before. Then we are still capable of adapting again for the next centuries.
Chaos socially & politically will always be there for the Human race, even for the next many hundred years to come, at least in my own opinion. In fact, it has been with the Human race since old long long time ago. But we still managed to survive! inspite of all these chaos and wars.
do we crazy enough to stay here for 100 years, people will go mad, nowadays opportuntiies so good everywhere, no surprise if people starts moving out of this place
I almost choked on my lunch. There is nothing sustainable about living in Qatar. Once the oil and gas are depleted, they'll be no reason to be here. Would the last person to leave please turn off the aircon?
The larger question is how will humanity survive, which is what is asked. It's very likely that the resources of today may no longer be available in a century. But consider the resources available today that were not available a century before. As stated before, we are an adaptable species, and when one window of resources closes, it's likely that other windows will be openable.
Why do I place this faith in humanity? Because I must. Without the belief that we will continue to grow and overcome the pains of social chaos as we mature as a species, we might as well not have any faith at all. I'm not talking religion (although that may or may not be a part in its current forms), but simply the same belief that we will survive just as much as the sun will rise the next day.
The new factors in the equation of the balance of mankind and the rest of nature are the technological advances that have changed how political and social chaos can develop, and the advances in industry that have the potential to inflict serious environmental alterations. Threats of nuclear war, biological catastrophe, and climate change now bring into question as to how humanity can continue to survive.

According to MAYAN civilization this era is expected to end in December 2012.....Only 5 more years in your hand sinned....
Even the scientists are not giving anything more than 50 years for the earth. So what another 50 more years is ruled out.
