Oh boy what a fool am I......

I am so pissed of.....

The recent DohaSummer Festival has left me in a jolt.... I wonder how things are organised here & does anybody hold the real responsibility to things to whatever committed.

Last week I took my family to city centre in full anticipation & lots of hope to show them Butterfly Figure skating (one of the events from festival) which was on schedule..... We waited for almost half an hour & it did not take place... We checked with the lady who sits at the reception & she did not have an answer. We got back home with dissatisfaction. My kids were really not happy. I told them we will surely make it another day.

Ok finally, when i checked for the show, now it was Golden Icepade which was supposed to be held yesterday(being the last day of festival). I made sure to check for it on web, QL & their hand bills... But again to our bad luck, there was no such event conducted. I was hoping that since it was the last day we would not be disappointed.... But what i felt was I really did not learn from my previous mistake.... I was so frustrated that I taught why would they dont take things seriously.... Is their any authority or board who regulates this.... I know my questions will remain as questions for ever.... My family had all reasons to blame me... I felt like I made a fool of myself....

Typical... 2007 organisation for cultural festival was so awful it actually culminated in Roberta Flack walking off stage..

2008 - zero improvements.

Typical of events organized by the Tourism Authority. You really can't expect them to stop drinking tea and do something properly can you?

It's a shame how they can be so apathetic to issues like these..
