I don't know how those ppl can't understand that filling petrol in their cars while the engine is on will endanger their life and the staff who's filling petrol

may be they don't want to turn off A/C while they are waiting till the tank be filled

This is still a wild cowboy land where some "above the law" couldn’t care less and laugh at rules and regulations!

Police have no power over these "above the law"!

This country (in particular the behavior of some of its nationals) has a looooooooooong way to go before it qualifies to be a 3rd world nation!

Why is it beyond the attendants jurisdiction to ask the driver to turn off the car? It is illegal to fill the tank with the car running - so the attendant, his supervisor/manager and the petrol company are all committing a illegal act by doing so.

If they won't turn off the car, don't pump the gas and alert the police if they get belligerent. It's not rocket science and I don't want to be hurt or killed because the guy in the next car is a puerile, assinine, idiot who can't figure out why such rules are needed.

It happened around between 5:00 to 5:30 in the morning.

I live across the road from Teyseer and it was like someone kicked hard our front door (and our door wasn't even facing the Teyseer side) . When I opened the door there was a smell in the air like someone lighted a matchstick. My wife was in the kitchen and to her it was like somebody dropped a cabinet from the apartment upstairs.

And if you will see the thick concrete slab pavement now opened like a cardboard box (not caved in) ... no amount of force from a bus could do that damage.

due to which the roof collapsed.... the area where bus is parked is for Diesel Engine vehicles only....

This proofs the poor quality of construction material used and lack of safety.

Underground explosions ehhh.... Now I have been going on for ages about how no one has addressed the issue of moles smoking. I saw one just the other day, and said "Hey you... yes you mole.... put that fag out. If your not careful you are going to blow something up if you go underground with that". He just looked at me stupid. Moles these days... you just can't tell em.

most people in doha actually dont turn their engine off before filling petrol. though there is a warning in every petrol station i have been to do so.

and the pump attendants, cant get this done, really. its beyond their jurisdiction :D

While at the Woqod petrol station just down the road I was getting gas and the idiot on the other side of the pumps was also getting gas, with his engine running (a red mustang) and revving the engine. I told the attendant to stop pumping gas to this idiot's car. But of course, he "didn't understand" because of the idiot's nationality.

I won't go back there again. Woqod take note - your attendants are breaking the law and endangering your staff and clientele.

That's right near my house and I just heard it now, wonder what happened.

I just went to take a look and got shoo'ed away by a qatari policeman, but funnily enough there was a qatari guy in thobe next to him smoking a cigarette.. Typical lack of common sense in this country.
