Thank you, QL!!!

Well, as I said earlier, QL is really rockin' tonight (with the blonde sunbather and bacon butties stirring up the people to new heights of indignation).

Just want to say that this is the most fun that I have had had in six months and nineteen days (without taking my clothes off)!!

Thanks to one and all.

first time, I managed Villas Rosas compound near Al Wadi, second time I lived close to Sitteen Street / Kingdom tower / Harvey Nicks.

Yah, I enjoyed it too - hashing, football with Aerospace, and plenty of Saf. African nurses - al hamdullilah!!!!

What were you doing there? Where abouts?

I used to know a German guy in the Hash - Doc Leo (he was a professor, worked for the Monetary Authority).

Happy days.

Jeddah, Riyadh, Boo-ey, I've done it all (sorry to say).

Left KSA (with a big drop in salary) for what I expected to be a better life in Big D - not turned out quite as I had hoped for.

C'est la vie, tant pis, maffi mush., what can you do?

Just make the best of it, I guess. At least I have spent the last 3 hours on QL, having a really good chuckle, with a couple of cans and a bottle of wine, courtesy of QDC, which you cannot do in KSA!

But the thing about Mothers Disgrace bread is that it is so 'nothing' that you cannot actually taste it - a true 'carrier' for the contents.

As such, you get the unmitigated pleasure of the crispy bacon rasher, with the hot and wet egg yoke (which ideally will drip down your chin as you eat the butty). Tom. ketch to be added as necessary.

Sorry, it's been a very long time!

Hope I don't sound too manic!

But here I go!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

SS, don't forget the tomato ketchup. Organic wholegrain bread only if you please. Do you know what's in white bread? It's practically toxic.

Wow, 15 months is a long time. Have a great trip!

Not a muslim, just an average joe from UK, with a few years in KSA under my belt.

Going back to England next Thursday morning after 15 months, and the first thing that I shall seek out is a bacon and egg butty, on 'Mothers Disgrace' bread.

Sad, I know, but there you have it!

Alf mubarak, ya 'bibti.

So why does bacon still get you misty eyed after eight years??!!
