I think what tallg was saying is if your wife is already here it may be worth it at a lower cost so you can be here with there. Obviously we all work because of the money, but sometimes money isn't the most important reason to take the job.

Since your wife is here she should have a good idea of cost of living. It seems low if you are paying for housing and schooling, but if her job gives her family accomidations and your salary can cover school costs that would influence your decision.

If your wife is making enough money and with ur salary offer i think u can manage. it all depends on u , how u spend ...if u r going to be very luxury person.. then i dont think this one is not enough for u.. but if u think u need to save and spend less. then probably yes u can save alot...and go for the offer..

tallg, cheritz, sunshine thanks for the comments.

tallg I am here because personal reason and ofcourse money is important. I just wanted to know if this is a fare offer, and and what is the market value for Architects in and the payment range in Qatar.

So you have to pay rent and school fees out of the 25k? Both of these are very expensive.

But then if your wife is working here does she already have accommodation?

Put it this way, we wouldn't have come here if our take home was the same as it was in the UK. We sacrificed a lot to come here so it has to be worthwhile.

But then if your wife's already here maybe money isn't the important thing for you.

Thanks Tallg for your comments.

package of 25k that include rent allowance and school fees. plus free anual tickets and company car. I have a family and my wife she is allready working in Doha.

if you compare it to the uk it is almost the same what you take home by the end of the month.

What other benefits? Housing, schooling, flights, car allowance etc, etc.

Do you have family?

What's your current standard of living in the UK?

Most people come here to make more money than they could at home, so if your "take home" here is significantly more than at home then it's probably a good offer.
