Local and foreign contracts in Ministries
There is a huge discrimination towards those expatriates who are locally contracted in government ministries. They are denied yearly airfare on their vacation.I don't know what difference they find between the two or what benefit they extend to the locally contracted in lieu of that. Thanks to this discrimination some expatriates enjoy their vacation with their salary while others have to spend their salary on airfare.
I see yet another discrimination between the locally contracted employees themselves. When Municipal Ministry split into authorities, those local contracts who moved to authorities were offered yearly airfare contrary to those who remained in the Ministry. Now that one of the authorities, UPDA, is merged back with Ministry, the Ministry is unable to do justice to both as it continues to discriminate between them. Hell of an administration, i would say....
The only answer you get when you try to explain this to your stupid Qatari bossess is this 'leave the job if you don't like' !!
