Not to worry.. if ur there for 3 days then you'll wanna make use of it.. if u plan to sightsee in the day and party at night.. then just for a budget hotel that will offer you a clean room and bathroom because u'll only need to sleep..

Skybar is a Hit true. but U'll never be able to get in.. believe I should know .. i tried to arrange for my friends who came to visit and it didnt work.. so just work on enjoying the Bar hopping scene which is quite a great hit in lebanon..

I'd say chose a place in the middle of the city for accommodation.. it will allow you to be close to the partying scene and in the morning you can easily head out of the city...

If your going on your own.. then try to book Tours with an agency to take u sightseeing as its best when done in a group...

Hotels: you have very decent hotels that have good prices.. carefully hotels are not so cheap in leb .. Leb is not as cheap as you might think it is.. but make sure if you buy anything.. or even ur hotel room.. keep your Invoices/receipts with you because you can get all the VAT you paid reimbursed at the airport..

Check out hotels on the internet but a few of the good "cheap" places (they are very clean and have good reviews) are:

- 35 rooms

- Napoleon Hotel

- Eden Hotel

so on.. .. if you look up a couple of hotels that interest you.. msg me.. I'll give you an idea of their location and whether it is advisable to stay in this place or not..

What dates r u planning to go?

defenitly sky bar ... if u find a place! u have to reserve like months before to get a place! but nevertheless, u can still find plenty of descent clubs/bars in his vicinity that are open.

-for bars/clubs: downtown beirut, gemmayze street, jounieh-kaslik-maameltein, and batroun are renowned.

-if ur single, lebanon sin city is Maameltein (super nightclubs, casino...)

- for gambling: Casino in maameltein too.

but be aware that with the itinerary i gave earlier, u will be very tired during the day (car travel one way:60km for day 1, 150km for day2, and 40 for day3) to be dancing all night ;) unless ur full of stamina

wish u a very pleasant stay in lebanon.

Sweet!! Thanks for the sample itinerary. I will probably go for what you have given. In the process of searching flights and hotels. Any ideas? Im early 30's and like modern feel hotels. Plus sight seeing during the day and definately clubbing/bar at night. What are the hot spots to be at? Element? Sky bar?

agree with loulsy

day1: jeita morning-harissa afternoon (take the telepherique)- and byblos late afternoon and night life

day2: if u slept in jbeil, than go to the cedars, have lunch than baalbeck in afternoon. if u stay at beirut than go to zahle (lunch) than baalbeck

day3: beiteddine, moussa castle and wax museum and spend the late afternoon and night in downtown beirut shopping and night life.

temperature these days are 20-30 in the day but 10-20 at night.

lebanon is a lot cheaper than qatar exept for transportation, and sea food

Well, make sure to enjoy your trip to the max and fill ur days with plans to make.. its a small country.. but there is so much to see and do.

If you are there for a short visit, make sure you plan your itinerary before going so that you are able to make sure of all your time :)

Any specific questions.. it will make it easier to help you..
