attitude of certain airline staff

By shoeaddict

had an early morning flight and unfortunately the ground staff of this highly praised airline was giving attitude to all of the passengers boarding."what's slowing the line?"and "could you move faster?" was the line being thrown around passengers by this ground staff so early at 5 am.i understand that they are usually under a lot of stress but that being said, well don't we all?
onboard,we were treated to a different kind of attitude as a passenger boarded asked for a earplugs because the woman seating behind him cant pacify her baby crying, the response was "we dont carry earplugs, so why dont you take your seat sir." as to a better response would be "i see what i can offer you and the crying baby onboard."
so,if in case these airline staff doesn't know that we pay plane fare and we demand good service if not the best.imagine if the passenger told the stewardess "i want a full refund of my plane fare pronto!"what could have been her response?
i have been enlightened by these staff and not only did get the name of the ground staff serving attitude,i am going to write their airline HR to retrain their very COURTEOUS and HIGHLY PROFFESSIONAL STAFF.ugghhhhh the joy of flying indeed!

I hate to be branded as a racist...but I wonder what is the nationality of the ground personnel and the stewardess...

It could be a good topic why "the attitude"?

shoeaddict: you should try travelling via Yemen airways next time (:

It's by far the worst airline in Asia, I cannot think of a worse experience ever."

Dear Shoeaddict,

You'll be waisting your time and efforts by writing us long complain, which will either not get to us or if it did, we will not bother to open it but then if it is really your lucky day and we read your letter, we'll simply not take any action. Best we'll do with your letter is that we'll wrap our sandwich in it and enjoy it at lunch.

I hope you fell the joy of "Riding" with us next time,

Sincerely,

HR Manager

...one pays reasonable fare, the plane Leaves on Time and Arrives Safely and On Time, there's little really to complain about.

To think of it, its far worse to be stuck for a year or more (because you gave your cheques) in a villa or an apartment in a compound that doesn't do any service when you need it and the plumbing doesnt work so well. I know people who suffered a whole year with that kind of stuff.

In duration, the plane journey is only a few hours or about a day at most; and you havent said they did not serve the usual food and drinks and neither did you say the food was bad. So what if a wailing a baby kept you up. dont we experience that at home too?

So just

There are lots of newly employed crew and ground staff who are not professionals in their field. They doesn't know how to handle the passengers properly. If you are talking about the Star ranked Airlines I am not expecting a favourable reply from the HR Department. Either they will tell some excuses justifying their staff or will keep quite on your letter.

Recently I had some experiences in another Airlines and a message was sent to their Guest Relations Managers. I got a reasonable reply from them that they will take care of such issues, will try to solve it from their end as early as possible and in order to compernsate me they offered some privilege miles free of charge.

LOL @ Prism's Comment.. Nice 1 :)

So, its Qatar Airways

There is no excuse to justify such behavior, i mean people risk their lives when they get onboard. Plane crashes are always fatal. So they should treat us nicely as we are honoring them by spending Last moments our lives with them.

Jokes apart ...

THAT IS SAD !!!

totally agree with nishantvshah.

the star raking is just for the name or the sake of it.

i have worked for one & was surprised to see how passengers being treated. finally i quit, coz i couldn't stand it or the attitude of the staff. as living beings, every one likes to be treated nice, oh! but only if the staff understands that point...

points which every employee in an airline should understand is that,

1, they get paid out of the revenue brought in by the customers.

2, every one has their own personal ups & downs, yet it is the responsibility of the employee to select the perfect job for them selves, (if they cannot handle the pressure they should not take up the job to make other peoples lives missarable) they should not at any cost show attitude to passengers, employees problems are not problems of passengers, regardless of what class a pax would travel, they have paid for the service & has done their part, it is the sole responsibility of the handling staff to give the best out of them.

3, regardless of how much CEO's & executives runs behind strategies for a better business when the implemented ones arent being followed!!
