I'm Irish Becca, actually flying out tonight for a meeting, staying in the Ramada but only one night then back to Dublin. Where bouts in the North are you from? I spent 2 years working in Belfast - I'm thinking I'm gonna need a little more sun tan lotion in Doha though

I'm from (northern) Ireland and have heard of a good few Irish people working out in Qatar and UAE. Got to be careful of our pale, freckly skin, in the sun! Are you Irish, Gino? Am sure there will be friendly people of all nationalities.

Personally i think the fact that i drive a white Mitsubishi Lancer, from Thrifty car hire does not give me the road presence required around Doha. If you intend to move around quickly it is necessary to drive a 3 ton monster 4x4, while using the telephone and reading the newspaper ! Ha ha.

188 Different nationalities of people registered working currently in Ireland - I guess it's going to be interesting to see what it is like for the minorities working here - when I become a minority in Doha.
