alexa, i quote,

"So, it is quite simple. Pimples come from overproduction of sebum, which is an oily substance produced in the skin to keep it soft"

please go and ask your doctor these questions..

- why there is over production of sebum?

- why pimples are generally considered normal in adolescents?

- why females suffer from these pimples more than males..

probably you will get your answers..cos over-production of sebum is just an effect and not the cause.

i quote,

"Rishimba, what you are doing her is irresponsible and dangerous"

tell me, what is irresponsible and dangerous..???

all i advised, based on my 5 years experience of practice in this field... was not to overuse/abuse the pill for suppressing pimples cos it might lead to other internal problems..

natural treatments are the best in such cases..

if you dont believe it, its upto you...but certainly, my advice is not "irresponsible and dangerous"

also, dont complain later that you were not warned..!!

Shaging, shaging, shaging. That's the cure for pimples. Compared to the philippines, maybe you have been depriving yourself of it here in Doha.

I did not know that Indians suffer from pimples? It is a miracle they don't worship some form of pimple GOD or Goddess.

mr rishimba, i have no interest in listening to you either so give it a rest and bugger off..

Pimples add to the beauty of a girl!

So do dimples.

So don't try to get rid of them. Make peace with them. They will not harm you.

I have found that using a quality moisturizer gives me flawless skin! When I first moved to Doha, my skin acted up a bit. It was probably a combination of the water, climate, and switch in moisturizers.

I don't have a single pimple, and this is what I use: just a regular cleanser like Clean and Clear or Neutrogena. Then after I wash my face I use Dior Hydraction Face Lotion and that is it! It was the Dior Hydraction that calmed my skin and didn't make it too oily for the climate here. I swear by it! It is a little expensive, but one bottle of it lasts me about 7 months and well worth it.

mjamille28,

dianne 35 is a hormone based pill which induces the production of progesteron in females..

if somebody over uses this pill for long, the body becomes dependent on the drug and thus in the future, if the drug is withdrawn, the periods get suppressed.

just like a person, when he starts taking insulin to control the blood sugar cannot do without it later and he has to take the injection on a daily basis..

its a matter of body adaptation to external chemicals which we all should avoid...

they help only in the short run.. but give problems later..

trust me..

I don't know much about Diane, but...

It depends on the pill, you can have the combined or mini pill. The mini pill doesn't regulate your period and you take it during your period too. I've always been on the mini pill and I didn't have a period for 7 months, my friend is also taking the same pill as me and she hasn't had a period for a few months either.

Hope this helps :-)

formatted soul,

as i said, i practice holistic treatment philosophy and i would treat the person and not the disease..

if you are having pimples off late, there must be some irregularity in your system...please look into it first. if you cant find out, you can write to me and i would suggest something to you... unfortunately the remedies are not available in qatar and in some countries..

..if you happen to go to any country in europe or america, you can buy them.

Xena is right, it regulates the periods, not mess it all up, that's the first time i've heard of it.. just ridiculous.. and besides, i dont use Diane-35 to take care of my pimples, i started using it before for the purpose of regulating my periods, and the fact that i've had no problems with pimples since i started on Diane is just an added bonus... :P

beware girls... this dianne 35 is not a good pill to use for reducing pimples..

this pill brings hormonal imbalance and after using it for some days you girls will have problems in your periods..

please understand that 'pimples' is not a disease by itself.. its just the manifestation of some irregularity inside..

the skin if just helping the body to discard the toxins and unwanted substance..

just eat well, drink a lot of water and have some exercise everyday and adequate sleep..

even then, if the eruptions dont get cured, you can go for natural treatment methods..

I wouldn't worry about your skin too much. When I moved to Doha, I noticed a change in my skin too, but after a month it sorted itself out. I'm guessing it was due to the change of climate, water, air conditioning etc. Personally, I think it's better to stick to your original regime and let your skin get used to it. :-)
