Practice what you preach!
One of the most important factors for moderating an online forum is to have a set of rules and to follow those rules.
But is Administrators following and practicing what they preach?
For example as per Qatarliving.com community guide rules Members of this website are strictly forbidden against posting any explicit/sexual/morally/culturally unfit contents on here .
And here I quote from the Community Guidelines
Article No.2. It clearly says the following.
(Qatar Living strives to be a family friendly site. Do not post any explicit content which violates Qatar's traditions and customs.
But are Qatarliving moderators following their own rules?
What’s up with all the semi-naked advert gals?
How is the image of a model posing in a sexy way in her underwear family friendly?
Moral of the post. Practice what you preach or don’t preach at all.
Or is it true that money talks?

Talking about Ads - MN actually has a point :) A site is perceived as catering to particular section of society wholistically and all ads and side bars are included in forming that perception. Forexample - If you go to a religious website and find naked hardcore xxx stuff going on on the sidebars I'am sure you wont find that website religious anymore.
Similarly, if QL is intended to be a family website, as is clearly evident from the guidelines,the dating promos and semi naked girls must be banned from popping up their booties here :)

anyone who runs a web site and has the google ads ruining can choose what ads he wants and specific ads can be blocked.
(I do too on my web site and I dont have the girls hanging out looking for cheap pick ups)

Moderators have no control over the Google Ads.

The site owners had to put up these ads to pay our salary (healthy 6 figure sum ).
the guidelines r not meant for the mods :)
Ads are not posted or moderated by the Mods. They are directly handled by the site owners.

the moderators dont post those naked ads.
infact i think they cant control over the people posting such ads. the site owners were already informed ( i think so ? ) abt this but dunno wat action they have taken...
