Begging in Qatar is illegal. Well, knowing this , What's your experience with beggars (if any) during Ramadan? Do you donate to beggars?

suddenly it reminded me about this "beggar" in villaggio, the guy was riding his CAR together with his family..

the guy told me that they run out of money and cannot go back to the place they came from.. saudi or somewhere.. cannot remember that much..

i gave him 5qr, that time i dont have enough cash as i dont bring too much since i live somewhere near the villaggio..

all of a sudden to my shockness the guy demanded more.. more money!

considering that he has he's CAR and im just WALKING.......

I'm a guest in this country so personally I prefer to follow the law, which says that begging, and giving to beggars, is illegal and can get you deported if caught.

There is a saying "you should give from your right hand without the left knowing"

and the divine rule is "What you get is what you give"

And a humble request to you

In this ramadan if you dont wanna donate please dont stop others from it.

I don't give money to beggars.

According to Dr Abdel Hamid al-Ansary, former dean of the Islamic Law college, "begging has become a nuisance in Ramadan though the religious teachings warn against such practices and consider this as degradation for humans."

There are enough charities to help people in need in Qatar. Anyone 'begging' is fake and should be arrested and deported.

As per law you should call the police if you see one. if you are kind give alms to them. But if you give to one today tomorrow 100 of their members will show up.
