Amersolh, if Dubai is on the top ten list of the most expensive cities then Doha is on the top nine! Believe us … and if you don’t, look for yourself: classified section of this newspaper for an idea about accommodation prices http://www.gulf-times.com/

Oh and one more thing, when they say “luxurious” on the ad they generally mean … not!

If you really want to move to Doha be prepared …

Hi, man i just moved to qatar after 5 years in Dubai. My recomendation DONT EVEN THINK ABOUT IT. 3000 QR is just enough to share a flat, Single Studio is not avilible and prices is going up ALL THE TIME.

I already start search for back again to Dubai,

your only option will be to share a place. I know only too well, I used to live in a tiny studio and the raised the price to QR 6000 recently, whilst a two beedroom flat is between QR 7000 to 10000.

After having lived in Jumairah for 3 years I know Dubai Life is expensive but quality which is worth the money...Amazing is the word.

Dubai infrastructure is one of the best in the world and life is Dubai personally was better than doha...

In Doha land prices and rentals are spiralling fast out of control and Im sorry to say for the money (3500 QR) that you mentioned you might not get a decent studio apartment.

If Doha doesnt do enuf to control its spiralling prices Im sure the bubble will burst soon and end up becoming counter productive for Dohas future.

Well to find a studio apartment in Doha today, would be in the range of 5-6k per month. You would be lucky if you can find them unfurnished. 3k for expenses would depend on how you spend this amount!! However, that could be sufficient...

Good luck while negotiating with your employer!!
