Hi,

I have got a job offer in Abu Dhabi. Could someone please adv me of the cost of living there? What would be a good package for a couple? AED 13000-15000 per month be ok? Could I get a 2 room house for it? Please help as I have little time to decide. Thanks!

Thank you all for your reply. But what about a 2 room flat? How much would that be?

July2008... u are right. A two bedroom apartment costs around 25000- 30000 per month. And that too if you are really really lucky. There is dearth of housing in Abudhabi and especially bachelors are unwelcome there. Unless the company is providing you acco, think twice/or thrice before you move there.

Getting a house in

Abudhai is a major hassle . They are running lottery system there now where in 8 applicants are allotted apartments by the rental committee every month.that is the lucky winner gets the apartment. and the list of applicants is tooooooooo loong. So only if your company is providing you housing, can you think of moving there.Otherwise it is a nice place to live in. Small, beautiful and very clean.
