I have just entered Qatar on a work visa last week. Didn't do medicals or fingerprinting yet. I didn't like the company for so many reasons and want to leave. Is anyone familiar with such a situation? My questions are

1 - Do I need an exit permit to go back?
2 - If I go back, can I come back to Qatar on another work permit?

Appreciate your help.

Thank you guys for your valuable inputs. I would go to immigration department for further info. I will share the info here so that it becomes useful to others in the future.

Goodluck to everyone.

first thing is u must need an exit permit to go back without which it is impossible. second is u can always come to qatar without the permission of your current employer. i assure u that. one of my friend also did that. he came with me in the same company but he found company was not good so what he did, he appeared in some interviews here in doha before his medical and finger printing and was comfirmed by one of the company that when if he will go back to his country they will send a visa for him. and thats what happened. He went and again came back and is doing job in that company and he is quite satisfied now. so i would advice u to do that if u have that much potential but i think its difficult now a days due to world financial crises. any ways good luck to u.

I think

(1) For exit, u need an exit permit from the Sponsor.

Tell some excuse. Or tell your homecountry to send

you a telegram informing someone is in serious

condition. This may help you to get an exit permit

(2) Since yoiu did nto do the visa processing, means

medical and fingerprints, your current sponsor cannot

stop you from coming again. If you find a sponsor,

you can come I think

I wish to add somethng more on an ethical side.

(1) If you came to Qatar with a flight teicket provided

by the current sponsor, he has evry right to reimburs

this amount form you for the flight ticket + Visa.

I am also an exptriate. but does not mean that we become "oversmart" , by making loss for the sponsor.

Know the feeling. Check with immigration at the airport. Show them your passport and ask them if you need an exit permit. Let me know how u get on.
