Price of small compound villa

AngelaMcIntyreHarrison
By AngelaMcIntyreH...

Me my husband and 3 year old are moving to Doha in a few months time. How much would a small fully furnished compound villa cost (2 beds one bath) with a private garden or outside space for our 3 year old to play cost approximately? It need not be luxorous but a garden is essential.

Many thanks

I need some person to take over my lease.

This is a very nice compound and located close to Villagio and Ramada Junction. Front of this compound, DOHA college is located. Most people live in this compound are either western expatriates and Japanese expatriates

Also, it has supermarket, restaurent, gym, pool, free internet cafe, Jacuz and Sauna facility.

It is fully furnished so no need to bring anything. Pretty much you just need to bring your clothes to wear and food to cook.

In the kitchen, it has full utensils (plates, knifes, coffee pot, toaster , microwave oven, pans and etc)

Also, laundry and dry machine including dish washer, refrigerator and oven.

Iron board and Iron also available.

The montly rate is 14000 QR but this includes free utility, free Internet connection and free local telephone calls in your villa.

My lease expires on October 17th, 2009 but you can extend the lease period depends on your requirement.

Please contact me, if you have further question about this at 583-7293 or email yahn/-a-t-/ctjv.com

I would say it's safety. If it is a stand-alone, look for one in a tight group. And reasonably secure your house. I would definitely go for a compound especially with a small child. Not all things get reported here...

Thanks PM for your reply suggesting we be careful about stand alone villas. Could you expand on it - is is safety, privacy or a mixture or something else?? All comments greatly appreciated. Thanks Supernurse for yours. We will move initially into the firms accomodation so I think I will have a good look round once I am there.....

I personally would live on a compound. At least you have a form of security and also usually a playpark/pool and other children.

I have a 3 year old too and thank god for playparks! The pool is communal which sounds awful but it keeps madam happy!

Good luck in your search although I can imagine it would be difficult to find somewhere when you can't look it over!

Well thanks for all your replies - you are a helpful lot I can see this forum is going to be a lifeline to me! I am most concerned about garden rather than location and I think judging by what I have found out so far location is very important on how much villas cost. My husband has been out for a trip already and says that there are really no horrible places to live in Doha at al! An older or stand alone villa sounds like the bext chance of having a garden attached. I will have a look at all the recommended websites this evening - many thanks again for all your replies

If you want anything close to a garden you will have to most likely get on an older compound or a stand-alone. You can still get nice villas on older compounds but they don't seem to be building large gardens with new compounds...very tight. And the others are right as well -- 3bed/2bath minimum and about 15,000/month.
