I have got Australian Lic and need to know whether it will be converted to Qatari Lic or do i need to go for test. Can anyone please guide me through and what is the procedure please and where do i need to go.
go to see one of the guys working in the office outside the gate ,,,,they wil hunt you down,, they wil do all the paperwork for you (for alittle fee) they are the real ones that do teh paperwork, the local police inside just process the papsers,, take you ID, your australian license passport alwasy just in case. and tatar
The only problem i had was mine said heavy vehicle,, we all know what that means back home in australia,, but her it means tractor or dozer or tip truck , not car,, so they sent me to the big grand poo bar, explained he said yes we have this problem with australian all the time,, he counter signed and it was approved i have my qatar one in 30 minutes,, the problem as i said ,, MY GOD AM I THE FIRST AUSTRALIAN TO GET A QATAR LICENCE,, so the nex guys or gals will have the same probelem it never get put into the system,, but hay thats the middle east for you...

I need to go to the Traffic department, do eye testing from there or eye testing from any where else. Once i get done with the testing i need to get the new license form typed in Arabic and take my Australian license and show to the officer. What is the Fees. Do they take my Original Australian License or i can keep it with me after showing them and they will issue me the Qatari license.

So what document do i need to take it with me.
My Australian Passport
My Qatar ID
My Australian License
Do i need New License form typed in Arabic
How much money do i need to take it with me, and do they take cash or no. If not can i put money on my QNB E-cash card.
Last but not least will i be able to keep my original australian license with me or they will take it from me.

Sure you can change it to a Qatari Licence, you need to go to the RTA and do an eye test, pay the fees and you should be sweet.
