Hi everyone,

I am new to Qatar.I am Canadian and I have a Canadian driving license . I want to rent a car for a month, then buy a Car. First of all, I would like to know whether I can rent it with my Canadian license, second I would like to know whether I need to do the driving test or they will give me a Qatari license once I show them my Canadian one. Some people told me that they will provide me with Qatari license right away, some others told me that this rule was changed recently.

You can drive with your Canadian license for 6 months.

If you are a resident with RP, just visit the maroor office in Madina Khalifa and show your Canadian driving license, they will issue you a Qatari driving license without any test.
