Is there anyone out there who has any information about the Compass International School? Number and mix of students, standards, facilities, the sort of packages they offer for teachers? What would be the nearest or best accommodation available for a family of four. thanks for the help
Stand-alones will be cheaper than villas on a compound because, generally compounds offer other amenities such as pool, gym, all the way up to grocery store and restaurant. I would say anywhere from 15-20,000 QR per month for a either. If you are just in the negotiating stage of your contract - I would not come here if housing wasn't completely covered. Rent is insane here.
Try posting your Compass question at www.expatwomanqatar.com I'm sure somebody on there has a kid in the school. I don't think I have heard anything bad about it but I can't remember specifics at the moment.

Compass is near the Landmark Mall area. Some nice stand-alone villas around there. It's also on the edge of the Al Gharrafa area of town. Many new stand-alones and new compounds in Gharrafa. It's a nice area to live in. If you are looking online in the classifieds, I would look for villas/compounds that mention Landmark Mall area, Education City area, or Al Gharrafa.

Thanks for that. Have you any idea of what cost we can expect for say a 2/3 bed villa? Have you heard anything about the school itself?
