What is the traffic violation charge for singal near the toyota tower?
Today I mistaken crossed the line near the signal at toyota tower while the light was red. I was mistakenly looking at the signal at the lane which is going straight and i was in the lane to turn. I went forward then realize the light was red and reversed the car back behind the line. I dont know how much they will fine me therefore wants to know how much will it be.
Well best to go and see what they say. I didn't get any charges at all but maybe he was just in a good mood that day!

if you have crossed with enough thrust and went on , 3k to 6 k. but if your cars back wheels not crossed, may nothing. Did you feel any flash?
I didn't drive forward. I took the turn and and wait few seconds to realize that its not green. Then immediatly I reversed back. Hope its 300-500. Since the cars on the other lane that i need to cross are going I quicly realize somthing is wrong and immediatly reversed.

You crossed the line but didn't continue to drive on. As this is captured on camera they will put the fine on the system but if you go into the traffic department and ask to see the video you are likely to get off the fine. I did the same thing and got off mine.
balwis...you will have a maximum of QR 500 only, because you stopped and reversed back. It is possible that you will not have any fine at all. This is line with the new traffic rules introduced at the beginning of 2011...you can search the gulf times archives for the news. However if you have crossed the signal and went on ahead your fine will be minimum 3000 to max 6000.please let us know what happened after about 1 week. we will have a confirmation of one of the facts stated above
Thanks Guys. I was confused with the signal. They have a old signal light and can't see properly also. Damn.. and the worest part is my isthimara is due in this month so I have to pay the fine also this month. My first traffic violation and was expecting something like speeding or parking not this.

crossing the red is 6000Qar. wait for a few days, and you may get your metrash sms, or you can check at the hukoomi website for violations.it takes a day or two to be uploaded at the site.
