Qatar Charity taking care of 364 orphans at home
In the framework of its project ‘An Orphan’s Smile’, which aims at taking care of the childhood section in the Qatari society and helping this important section to live happily and quietly, Qatar Charity has sponsored 364 orphans inside the country.
In a press release, the director of the Charity’s main office, Jassim Abdullah al-Jassim said: “The office has assigned a special unit for taking care of the orphans inside Qatar in the framework of child and woman programmes which serve local society.”
“The sponsorship covers monthly payment, educational and health care and qualifying and rehabilitating orphans for life.”
Educational care includes joining education centres in order to upgrade the learning level of the orphans.
Healthcare covers regular tests and examinations to make sure that orphans are in good state of health.
“As for cultural care, there will be a set of varied programmes that fit their levels in addition to joining Qur’an centres, youth clubs and summer programmes.” he added.
Qatar Charity is a non-government organisation established in 1992 in order to support Qatari society and other needy communities abroad.
Its mission is to support the abilities of the most needy groups to fulfil human dignity and social justice in co-operation with partners.
