I currently live in Beverly Hills Tower and it's not that bad. Granted it's surrounded by construction, but none of it is 24 hours. The worst noise comes from the wind (it get's very windy in this part of West Bay), followed by the generators left running on the construction sites. But the air-con drowns out all of that!
The time it takes to build a tower block means that the view doesn't "diminish by the day", but obviously over time the view will become obstructed. I live in an apartment on the north side so have a good view (taking in The Pearl, Ritz-Carlton, InterCon, Golf Club - right round to City Center from the balcony). I don't think the view is as good from the south side or the apartments on the inside (the building is shaped like a U or V).
The apartments on the outside of the U/V shape have large balconies, as can be seen when you drive past.
The nearby roads and pavements are in no worse a state than any others in Doha, and there's currently very little traffic on the roads directly round the tower.
The gym and swimming pool are now fully operational and are very good, while the jacuzzi, spa, sauna, steam room, games room and coffee bar are nearly ready. They are also planning to put a restaurant on the top floor. Also, there is 24 hour security, reception, maintenance and cleaners, a limousine service and a laundry service.
We definitely prefer it to our previous apartment in Al Sadd. Being within walking distance of The Corniche is also a big bonus.
