Granted, I've not been shopping in the UK for 5 years now, but I walked into Debenham's and almost flipped over the high prices. Then again, I wasn't all that impressed with Marks & Sparks in Singapore either. 100 dollar trousers, for god sakes'.
I have heard, though, that you can have nice things made for you, including copying, for a fraction of the retail price.
Or you bring enough to get you started and go to Vietnam on holiday. You can get an entirely new wardrobe for maybe 200 quid...
