I agree with TweetyBird regarding the fact that the bid for October was too difficult for the IOC, but not for the televised reception. Most sports federations are working and in deep games by that time, so it would've been out of the question to host the olympics then. But there is a chance to host the olympics in December, as that's when all federations are off and no reall big games are in play.
As for the Indus' roads, what rubbish is that??? Do you think every country in the world has the best roads everywhere you go??? Of course not!!! These bad roads are caused because of heavy vehicles, and not from the government. Yes, they need to do something about it... but regarding the olympics... PLEASE.... don't fool yourself... They got the Asian Olympics with the same roads... Dahhhhhhhhhhhhh
Regarding Terrorism.... Now there is something to talk about.... Spain is the first on the list for Terrorism... FARC and all the others are so against Spain right now and there are more chances of something happening there than anywhere else in the world.... Chicago.. the windy city... US will probably be the worst place to host the olympics in the summer... No airconditioning... busier roads... and again prone to self destruction... (internal terrorism.. external terrorism, etc...)
Tokyo... Look at China at the moment... suffering from Earthquakes.. erupting volcanos.. Tibet... Expense city.. should I say more???? You think Tokyo is better????
Rio .. probably the best pick... but technically the worst according to the IOC... Hot & Humid in the summer... what the heck...
If you ask me... there is nothing stopping Qatar from being awarded the Olympics except for Politics from the European Side of matters... Money for sure is no problem... Qatar would've spent the most money... Infrastructure.. everyone is thinking of todays infrastructure.. a lot can happen in 8 years... terrorism.. more likely to happen out of the middle east than in the middle east!!
