makes sense to post female sales people in the women's clothing sections (not just lingerie), and male sales staff in the men's sections, but does there really have to be a LAW to do this? Not everything has to be prescribed and mandated, and this is one of those things, I think.

Shopping is a voluntary activity (not like a medical clinic or a bank or a ministry where necessary or official business has to be done), and if a particular shop makes you uncomfortable because they have men staffing their lingerie sections, then simply don't go there!

If certain shops don't staff their lingerie sections with women, then hopefully they will find their sales dropping off as the female customers feel awkward with the men around...and pretty soon I think they will change their staffing. And if not, then simply go shopping elsewhere people.
