I don't have a problem with stores staffing either men or women in various sections of their store, as long as they are knowledgable about the products. I fully understand, however, that many women here would be more comfortable with female sales staff when it concerns intimate apparel.
I DO, however, think that it's ridiculous that there needs to be a LAW about this. Qatar doesn't even enforce what laws it DOES have on the books. I'd rather see them tackle some more important issues (ensuring that children ride in the back seat and that passengers all buckle up, punishment of employers for non-payment of wages to laborers, etc.) first.
