rest of the world have to walk on eggshells around religious individuals?
You said "Love of the religion is deep rooted in the hearts of the muslims. I think its not easy to get them to tolerate the blasphemy. That is why I say why not the writers take some care dealing with religion?"
I suppose everyone could put on the kid gloves when dealing with religion. But I would argue why can't religious people learn to deal with things a little better instead? Why should religion be any different than talking about politics, nationality, family issues, etc.?
So someone is sensitive about their religion -- so what? I might be sensitive about being an American, or being a woman -- but the rest of the world isn't going to cater to my sensibilities on those counts, THAT'S for sure.
I find it to be a very self-absorbed perspective, to presume that others should respect YOUR religious rules about "blasphemy" when they never subscribed to follow them in the first place. Don't you think that's absurd? It's like expecting non-Muslims to fast just because you are.
Certainly one hopes that ALL people will operate with a modicum of decency and respect when it comes to those individuals and cultures that are different from our own, but you can't really legislate this. It's an honor system kind of thing, and unfortunately there will always be those who don't speak or behave politely, who don't play well with others.
You just have to learn to deal with it.
