But when one parent dies, unless the other parent was not a part of their life or is unfit, I don't see how you can argue that the dead parent's family should get custody. It's unreasonable to expect the mother (who is British) to live here i the Gulf away from her family of origin. It might be reasonable to ask that she visit yearly with the boy...I don't know.
