I switched over from other (private) doctors/specialists because my insurance did direct billing with them. I've taken my son to the pediatrician and have had good experiences with him, and I've had several occasions to use their emergency room and they've been efficient and good.

But I am having second thoughts now. I tried all morning to reach them and could not get anyone to answer the clinic's direct line for the life of me. After two hours of listening to the phone ring, I finally asked the receptionist to give me a supervisor, who was then able to help me.

But honestly -- there is no excuse for a hospital clinic NOT answering their phones for over two hours. My situation wasn't a life-or-death one, but when you're talking about medical issues, it very well could be.

If they can't even ensure that they have enough personnel to handle answering the phones, then it makes me wonder what else they can't do properly...
