I certainly like men, and I have at times wanted them in my life. But I have never NEEDED one. Is that not enough? Personally, I think it a higher compliment to not need someone (out of obligation or necessity) but to invite them into your life because you actually desire their presence.
I certainly don't need a man to take care of me. I can do that fine on my own, thank you. I choose men for their character, their intellect, and many other things that they can bring to me and my life (companionship, humor, etc.)...but thank God I don't NEED a man to complete me or my life.
