The girlfriend/misses/fiance has only been there for 2 weeks and we've pretty much decided that I should follow regardless of whether I get a job or nor first. I've been looking and even had a few muted discussions with people about opportunities. But like a wise man once said, "love conquers all". I want to support her in her decision to take a job out there and I think this is the most prevalent reason of all to go out there.
The industry I work is information technology - I specialise in the Financial sector. So, hopefully, there are opportunities. If not, I will wash cars for a living (I'm good at that)!
So - looks like I will be joining you all in sunny Qatar in the New Year. Nice.
