I don't think I cared or even knew what ping was when I was playing CS :D

however, the way ping works is quite weird. I tend to get lower pings in German servers than what I get in Saudi ones which does not make sense because Saudi is geographically closer and thus I should be getting lower pings there. And this is not exclusive to a specific game, it's a general thing. But I guess it has something to do with the fact that we have no actual servers here and basically we get our internet from some other country somewhere in Europe. (the cable incident comes in mind)
