May b it requires a exit and entry again.... Recently i came to know that NOC and Release are two different things. Release is that a company is ready to sacrifice the visa of the Individual nationality ( getting one indian visa is nowadays very difficult i suppose.... so the company would not be ready to release.. YES it may not have any objection for you to work with other company... provides NOC... hope that explains..
