I have questions related to family residence visa. My spouse is in my home country. Is it necessary for my spouse to be here for applying for residence visa? Can she come here after the family residence visa application is approved and then undergo the formalities related to medical examination and finger print scanning?

yes first get visa than call your family and fulfill other requirements.

No need of your spouse presence to apply wife RP. You just need to fulfill their criteria requirement with all supporting documents.
