family visit visa extension after 6 months

My family came here on family visit visa.They r being to be finish six month visa after two weeks.i would like to extend it to for 1 month.is it possible or not?somebody have done it before,please give me a good advice.
We went to Gharaffa, I'm on my 6th month this January. They gave me another 1 month extension. We were not asked to see a captain. I just go directly to the cashier, gave my visit visa extension form and pay. You can download the form online. I will try again next month. Wish me luck.
yes it is possible... one of my relatives lived for 9 months on visit visa.
you can even extend it for three months.. although one month at a time.
we didn't need to see the booked plane ticket. Just go to immigration with passport of the family and ID of the sponsor.

yes i did it just book the ticket for the next month and show it there, they will give one more month extension.
