Is it possible to come back immediately after RP cancellation if I have NOC?
By robinashaheen •
My company is willing to give me NOC. I read many discussions on QL saying that I can transfer to another employer since I have NOC. I just need a little clarification from the pros. After my company cancels my RP and I leave Qatar, can I come back immediately to work with a new employer, or is there some waiting period. Thanks folks for your valuable advice.
Both Robinashaheen & Pieman,
I would request, please mention how many years you had worked with the earlier employer, before gettting the NOC.
Was this first change of sponsorship ?...DId you change before
these information will be helpful for others, who are going thru similar situations
I have just returned to Qatar under exactly this circumstance.
My old employer gave me an open NOC which I could give to any company and then cancelled my RP.
I gave the NOC to my new employer who then had to contact my old employer to obtain the comuter card copy.
The computer card card copy and the NOC then went to immigration for them to grant me a new entry visa of the type which allows me to get RP again. This took about one week.
The only pain is that you have to go through the medical and finger print lark again.
I am just about finished with this procedure and I should have my new RP next week or so.
Hope this helps.
just eat another pie
IF THE CURRENT COMPANY IS GIVING YOU NOC, THE NEW COMPANY CAN APPLY FOR A NEW VISA ATTACHING THE NOC LETTER IF THEY ARE GETING A NEW VISA FOR YOU, YOU CAN COME UNDER THE NEW VISA.
Verify the type of NOC...if it says No Objection to Transfer Sponsorship, then congratulations! Otherwise, if NOC is only No Objection to work in another company, the VISA is retained in your employer. NOC to transfer sponsorship is the ONLY NOC recognized by immigration to be elligible for transfer. The latter, you can come back and work, but the moment they cancel your VISA, you are bound to go home.
