RE-ENTRY BAN(KABAYAN)

I left Qatar on 08th April 2009 because my mom died .Unfortunately, my employer doesn't want me to comeback for work without any formal closure. Is it true be under the new sponsorship law 2009 it is mentioned that a person left from qatar on his own can return after 2 years from the date of departure. While leaving from Qatar, in my case my passport has no stamp. I heared that the visa will be cancelled automatically after six months from the date of exit. Kindly clarify if the 2 year ban is from the date of departure or from the date of visa cancellation. My RP will expire on 29Nov'09.Waiting for your advise, thanks a lot!

well, i dont know if you want to take the risk.... as far as i know, you were been terminated "illegally" meaning, your employer have no right to simply kick you off just like that without any formalities, you can check Qatar Labor law that "no one can be terminated during vacation". The only problem would be is that, your employer mght reason out the "recession" thing, which the ministry of labor supports that. And that is the RISK im telling you. :)

Have faith....

Just check qatar labor law for further info's

as far as i know:

1. if your visa is still valid until now or til nov 29, 09 (meaning the sponsor will not cancel it anytime before nov9, u can still come back to qatar, with or wothout thier knowledge.

2. you can come back to qatar in visit or business visa after nov 9.

However:

> if you comeback b4 nov 9, under the same sponsor, & you get a job and they are wiling to sponsor you, you must secure from that previous sponsor/employer an NOC to transfer to your new company.

so long you do have the valid visa you can enter Qatar.

stamp is not anymore an issue especially if the passport bears the electronic controlled readable chip...

anyone who exit Qatar bearing a working visa exceeding 6months from date of exit will be cancelled automatically and from therein date the re-entry ban shall start to effect.
