Residence Permit application not approved yet

Hi just wanted to know if any of you could reply to my query.

I applied for a Residence permit for my wife, at the same time I applied for her vist visa as well. I applied for the visit visa simultaneously as I thought the Residence permit approval would take some time. Now my wife has not come yet to Doha on the approved visit visa (so its till active in their system). Now the Residence permit application shows "application under process" for around 6 working days. Do you think the delay is because she has not yet come here on the visit visa? So does she have to come to Doha on the visit visa first go back and then the Residence permit application could get approved?

Hi all,

Please help me to take a decision.I will be having 5 month bank transaction & all concerned documents ( attested certificates ) by the first week of November & same time my wife's visiting visa (6 month) going to expire. Is it fair to submit permanent resident visa application by November ?. I heard a rumor that cut off will change from 10k to ..... by December. I have transaction of 11K /month only. Please help me to take decision for early submission.

Thanks in advance

ok thanks.. i prefer getting her here for a week or so, then when the goes back the visit visa would stand void, cos anyways the immigration would be close dfor about 10 days for Eid..Cancelling the visa is a whole complicated process alltogether, so i prefer getting her here on a visit..cheers!

if they told u to cancel the visa u can cancel that and show them the paper and u dont have to resubmit it again.then finally every thing depends upon their decesion.

Hi drsajidh123, you were right.. I went to Madinat Khalifa Immigration office today... they told me it was a conflict since the visit visa is still active.. they asked me to cancel the visit visa or get her to make a trip here first...

Hi drsajidh123... so what exactly did you do to get through? As i mentioned before the status now shows as "Application is postponed". did you get a similar message?

dear caetano,

we had a situation like this. they will come to know that u had applied for visit visa before through the system. then rp application will be rejected. now it is showing underr process. that means till now no problem. keep checking on if u find its rejected then that means its mostly because of the visit visa. they will tell to cancel that first and reapply. if u see its ready for printing. then u will have to cancell the visit visa before u allow ur wife to enter the state of qatar, other wise she will be held in airport. all depends upon the people at the airport.

thank u

I have applied for Family visa for my wife on 04-Oct-2012, initially status was “Under Process”… on 09-Oct-2012 status changes to “Application is Postponed” then I went to Immigration to know the reason, they told me that I have to submit rental agreement with attestation (Submitted before also). I have submitted that on 10-Oct-2012, they asked me to check after 2 days. Today also the status is the same “Application is Postponed”… can anyone have come across like this situation ? Please Advise ?

Holly...lol what exactly are you waiting for? They will come and deliver it to your house? I think your supposed to go to the immigration...pay the fees and get the RP sticker on your passport.

Ok..sounds good...but was just worried about the fact that her visit visa was approved and she did not come here..so i did not want that to clash with the residence visa application

Since it has been 6 working days when u applied for her RP this week inshallah u will get the status changed just wait a bit, if u want her to come with visit visa she can still come and once u get the approval she can convert the visit visa to RP by paying 500 Qr.

I recomend you to wait this week before bringing her here so she can come directly by family visa.
