I amicably left the services of my employer late last year. There is no issue with regards to NOC etc.

However, I left the country without canceling my Visa and later requested my my erstwhile employer to cancel the visa. I understand that they need my passport to be able to cancel the visa. The visa has a few months of validity left.

I am now in SE Asia and do want to send my passport to Doha since it is not legal to do so in my current country of residence.

What is the impact?

If you dont cancel the visa the visa is still valid so the company loose the visa if you are not interested to come to doha then it is ok , it is illegal to send your passport for cancellation,even if you come on fresh visa to stamp your RP u may require NOC from your previous sponsor....wait for some more response.
