This restuarant has seen better days in the 90s. Anyway it is good for Bachelor guys. You are certain to see hefty pathans in groups wolfing down the food like hungry African lions at any time of the day.
This place is good for its trademark Hammour fish fry. The menu is vocal. i.e the waiter will come and recite to you what is available for that meal time.
Usually its a mix of Mincemeat (kima) with white beans/okra/Spinach/chickpea/potatos/chana dal or any available local vegetable.
You will also get chicken/mutton curry cooked in a slight different style.
It all goes with hot naan roti(bread) served freshly baked.
I think that since most of the walk in patrons are local labours/blue collar workers they have not increased the price of the menu too much since the last 10 years so as to not loose thier core clients who cannot afford high prices. As a result unfortunately quality has declined.
Though the fish price has increased dramatically. Its quality is as good as
before ......the reason bieng that it is usually quickly ordered as a take away and quite a few families are always in the que to take it as side dish. Families usually order big helpings.
I have hardly seen people sitting inside order it.
Though i think that it must be eaten hot as it becomes soggy and looses its crispness by the time yu take it home even with alumunion packing.
I can tell you that it tastes like Kentucky Fried "Fish" with some nigella seeds(black seeds-kalonji) thrown in as a flavour. Its not at all very spicy/hot. It will suit all palate....no problem.
Try Its fish.....Good Luck
