Shama'a-e-mazar thi, na koi sogwar tha
tum jis peh ro rahay thay, yeh kis ka mazar tha

tarpon ga umar bhar dil-e-marhoom kay leyay
kambakhat, na-murad, larakpan ka yaar tha

soudayay ishq aur hay, wehshat kuch aur shay
majnoon ka koi dost fasana-negar tha

jadu hay ya talisam tumhari zuban main
tum jhoot keh rahay thay, mujhay a'itbaar tha

kia kia hamaray sajdoon ke ruswayeaan huyeen
naqash-e-qadm kisi ka sar-e-rah guzar tha

iss waqat tak tu waza' main aaya nahe hay farq
tera karm shareek ju parverdegaar tha
