Time for some competition - Wake up call to members

Dear members,
Your manager had been on vacation and is now back to take charge of the group once again. I'm sorry there were no much activities happening for a while but that was due to some personal issues i was trying to resolve and it was taking up my time.

None the less enough about me, its time to wake up and get things rolling again. I'm going to have a few things lined up for everyone in the coming months, meet ups, teaching lessons and even try to get us some great deals on cue sticks, accessories etc or some great offers in the billiard clubs in Qatar. Lets see how that goes..wish me luck :P

For now i have one thing in mind, we have around 135 members and not many are active in the group, i'd like to see everyone come out of their hiding holes. You are in this group coz you love the game.

I'm thinking we should make teams out of our members and compete within ourselves for fun. So there will be mini teams and then there will be one team to represent our billiards group in competitions with other clubs perhaps later on.

The main team will consist of only advanced players willing to compete in tournaments and win prizes. Me along with the help of a few old time members will conduct the selection process for the main team at a later stage.

Now if you think you are up for some fun and ready to hit the tables lets get to it.

Rules for making your team:
1. The team should consist of only 4 members per team
2. If you are in a team you can not change your team for another within the same month.
3. You must have a name for your team.
4. All players willing to join or create a team must know how to play 9 ball/8 ball and should read the official rules for the game mentioned on past threads in the group.
5. You must be a member of this group to make a team

I will send out a email this week regarding a meet up. Anyone interested in joining please put your QL ID name in this thread and we'll go from there.

Let the battles begin!
